Ivy-Marie Provan is the Hawks female player of the month for August, 2021.
Ivy-Marie has been a part of the Hawks Club since the age of eight and has graduated from our Club competition into our Rep Program. She is a player of great pedigree. She is the daughter of former Tiger, Ryhs Provan and granddaughter of the legendary Tiger, Kevin Bowrey. As well, her older brothers Jesse and Carter are established league and touch players with the Hawks. It is easy to understand why Ivy-Marie has the touch football world at her feet. Ivy-Marie has made her mark with her hard work, tenacious defence and silky skills in attack. She leaves everything out on the field and does her best for her team at all times. Playing as link or middle, she has really improved with each tournament and her caring nature has made her a very popular member of the Hawks Club. Aside from touch football, Ivy-Marie is an outstanding netball player and soccer player. She has impressed plenty of good judges with her all round skills and many acknowledge she has a bright future in all three of her chosen sports. Not many young players can say they play three sports at Rep level. One of her recent coaches at the Hawks, Kylie Nicholas, mentioned how important players like Ivy-Marie are for Junior State Cup tournaments. ‘When you play in three day tournaments, you need players like Ivy-Marie. She has wonderful endurance, physical toughness and mental toughness combined with all of her amazing skills. Her caring nature for her team mates really makes her a valued member of any team’. Congratulations to Ivy-Marie on being our Hawks Female Player of the month. Congratulations to Col's Body Shop West Ryde. They are the Hawks Sponsor of the Month for August, 2021.

Evan is a player on the cusp of moving into our senior program with amazing touch skills and a willingness to push his body through the pain barrier. A player that is well respected by the opposition and loved by his team mates! Evan has been a main stay at the Hawks since making his debut way back in the under 10s as a nine year old. Since then he has navigated his way through many tournaments (JSC and VC) with the Hawks and made an impact with his speed to burn and competitive nature. He brings to the field his off-field ambition to ‘live life with no regret’. As a player, it is great to earn respect and this is one of his strengths. Twice he has been voted as ‘players player’ by his peers. Evan really enjoys, and makes it his focus to build team morale. To win these ‘Players Player Awards’, shows that he always gives 110% at training and on game day. Combined with his touch football prowess, Evan is a keen Rugby League player, Soccer player and basketballer at school and at Club level. He is also currently undertaking Year 12 studies at Holy Cross College Ryde. A school that is famous for building wonderful sportsman and even better young men! Coach and mentor Jamie Clifford said “He is a pleasure to coach and willing to learn as much as he can. Evan creates a positive atmosphere in all of the teams he has been a member of and whilst he is still developing as a player, he always gives 110% and turns up to every training session ready to rip in. He is such a positive influence to be around and is a great asset to any team and the overall club which is reflected in the esteem his peers hold him in”.
