Details are available in the flyer set out below. To register your interest click on the button at the bottom of this post. Our Senior Player of the Month is Luke Eisenhuth.
Known as the General, Luke has been a huge inclusion at the Hawks since he joined in 2016. A school teacher by trade, Luke is real team player who provides a calm head in all situations and demands respect from his team mates with his work ethic and core values of hard work. The Eisenhuth name is very popular in the NRL at present with some of Luke's brothers and cousins making their mark, however the Hawks consider themselves very lucky to have someone like the General. He is a player that has proven himself at every level and a player that brings out the best in his team mates with a never say die attitude and willingness to train harder than the next person. When Barry Gibson was looking for an experienced player to lead his young charges into Premier League, the General was the first call he made. ‘We needed someone to lead by example, drive into the tough teams and to provide experience and be that calm head in the middle. He also brings an understanding of our patterns and structures to the entire squad. It is fair to say Luke has done this and will continue to do so’ Barry added. Luke is a winner and this was another attractive part of his recruitment. Winning has followed him throughout his career winning the following titles: - 2007 U18 Junior State Cup - 2007 U20 Senior State Cup - 2009 Men's Open Vawdon Cup In addition Luke has accumulated numerous club titles. Most recently these have occurred with Pitching Point Constructions in the local competition. Luke has also provided support for our next generation of players by coaching our u/16s & 18 girls squads and is currently assisting with our 1st division men’s squad. He has combined all of this with his desire for winning a Premier League Title and First Division Title with the Hawks over the next three seasons. Congratulations to 'The General' on being the Hawks Senior Player of the month for September, 2020. Our Hawks Sponsor of the Month for September is Dolcini Café.
Situated in the heart of Putney village, it has been a home away from home for nearly 10 years and a proud sponsor for the past four seasons. It is a real family business and the boys are passionate about supporting local clubs and keeping kids active. The café is Open 7 days for breakfast + lunch. Club President Andrew Goggin is a frequent visitor to the Café and is impressed by the boys commitment and support of the Club. For more details visit their website by clicking on the link below. Remember to support those who support us! The old saying ‘the world is your oyster’ reflects the natural ability of Mikayla Kelleher. Born and bred in Ryde and a student at Riverside Girls High School, Mikayla (or Mik to her friends) is the type of player you build a Club around.
During her four seasons at the Hawks, Mikayla has won numerous individual awards (2017 - Hawks medal, 2018 - Players Player, 2019 - Hawks medal, Youth Vawdon Cup player’s player) and has also captained and provided leadership for the teams she has played in. Her blistering speed and blonde hair sets her apart but it is her commitment to the team that has players wanting Mikayla in their team. A real game changer that every coach wants, Mikayla has made her mark at the Hawks with her tenacious driving and ability to score from any position on the field with her speed. Many good judges can see that this girl has the talent and support to go all the way in whichever sport she chooses. Combining her touch football skills with representative netball and athletics, Mikayla dreams of becoming a professional athlete one day. Along the way she would love to play Women's NRL State of Origin Touch, Play NRL Touch and to win a Junior State Cup with the Hawks or even run at the Olympics. Lets hope that she can achieve all four!! One of her coaches, David Kelly said “Mikayla is one of those players who loves touch and plays well above her years in maturity. Her natural ability, speed and athleticism is something that is admired by everyone at the Club. Mikayla will continue to develop and move into our senior program with ease under the guidance of Barry Gibson. Her infectious personality makes her one of our most popular players in the Club”. Congratulations Mikayla on being Hawks Junior Player of the Month for September. Upcoming Touch Season (2020-2021 Season)
