Venue: Putney Tennyson Bowling Club Competition Requirements: Please note the following important competition requirements · Player registration this year will use the electronic registration system that has been developed by Touch Football Australia. Summary of dates are provided below: Date extended (Contact Paul Wines directly - o407 564 442) - Team registrations due Monday 12/9/22 - Competition commences with Round 1 Monday 26/9 and Monday 3/10 - No games – School holiday break Monday 10/10/22 - Games resume Monday 5/12/22 - Last round game and sausage sizzle Monday 12/12/22 - Grand final Competitions: The 2022 Season consists of age competitions for U8s, U10s, U12, U14 and U16 boys and girls. (Games for the first 2 rounds will be played at earlier time slots as this is pre-daylight saving.) Please note the age criteria below. Age groups do not necessarily align with football and netball. They align with the Touch representative age groups. Under 8s – Born in 2015 or later Under 10s – Born in 2013 or later *** (Max of 4 Rep players per team - see details below) Under 12s – Born in 2011 or later *** (Max of 4 Rep players per team - see details below) Under 14s – Born in 2009 or later *** (Max of 4 Rep players per team - see details below) Under 16s – Born in 2007 or later *** (Max of 4 Rep players per team - see details below) As advised above these dates mirror the age eligibility dates for the next Junior State Cup competition. *** Following extensive feedback, under 12s and U14s teams this year will only be allowed to have a maximum of 4 players who were selected to play in 2022 Junior State Cup. The club introduced this rule last year and will continue using it this year. The club is trying to ensure that more players are able to enjoy the competition by splitting up dominant teams and evening out the ability across the teams. This will allow the competition to remain close and even. This is a growth strategy that we expect will assist in retaining players in older age groups and creating pathways to the senior competition. We have acted on feedback and note that lopsided games cause some issues with parents. While this is a hard decision and may cause some issues, we seek to improve the experiences of all our players and encourage them to return to park football the following year. Costs: The registration fee this year is again a team based. For the teams playing under 12s, under 14s and under 16s, the “early bird” fee for 2022 is $450 per team as long as fees are paid prior to Round 2. Once the “early bird” rate expires the registration fee is $550 per team. We are offering a special fee this year for teams registering in under 8s and under 10s in an effort to increase participation. Under 8s and Under 10s “early bird” fee is just $200 per team as long as fees are paid prior to Round 2. Once the “early bird” rate expires the registration fee is $300 per team. As was the case last year, all players MUST wear the Hawks reversible playing singlets. For new players or past players who need new singlets these will be available for purchase for $25. The club accepts “Active Kids” vouchers but as the fees are less than $100 per player the amount that can be recovered by the club for each individual is a pro-rata of the team fee. Full details of the way this will work will be sent out separately. Competition Requirements: Please note the following important competition requirements · Player registration will again use the electronic registration system that has been developed by Touch Football Australia. Use of the electronic registration system is a requirement for Ryde Eastwood to remain affiliated with NSW Touch. · Code of Ethics o Ryde Eastwood has adopted the Touch Football Australia (TFA) Code of Ethics. It’s fair to say that Sienna has sport through her veins after being born into two of the proudest sporting families in the Ryde area. The granddaughter of Paul Wheelhouse (former Souths) and Kevin Bowrey (former Tiger), Sienna shows all of their natural ability that has been passed down through the generations. Sienna has also excelled at rep soccer and athletics before really starting to focus on her touch football. Her touch football career has seen her develop well from the early days and she has led many Hawks campaigns deep into the finals at JSC. She has worked hard on her attacking skills and aggression in defence whilst playing in the middle. She is one of the most popular members of the Hawks Club with her caring nature and desire to win at all costs for her team mates. Her ability to play against the strong Clubs is something she prides herself on and always rises to the challenge. Her fitness, competitiveness and the willingness to challenge herself combined with her never say die attitude inspires the players around her. Sienna is a strong leader with her actions on and off the field and never backs down from a situation. A recent mentor Luke Eisenhuth added “Sienna is a coach’s dream! A player that you want in your team. She is first to training and last to leave. Her ability to lift the team on the field with a special play or a try saving touch inspires everyone around her. Her speed in attack is her trademark and this lifts her team mates. Whilst she is still developing as a player, she is certainly on the right path to play Premier League for the Hawks”. Congratulations to Sienna on being the June 2022 Hawks Female Player of the Month. Excellence in Strata Management is their business and supporting the community is their commitment.
