Hawks Female Player of the Month for May is Giselle Kusto.
Giselle is the player every team needs and every coach wants in their team. With speed to burn and a great knowledge of touch, Giselle has the natural ability to turn games. Giselle has a caring & soft personality that draws people to her and has been a key member of the Hawks since the age of 10 years old. On the field, she has established herself as a player who can single handedly change a game with her freakish speed. This has been evident throughout all of her junior career. When teams slightly turned their backs she would already be through their line after scooping the ball on the run or crashing through on a Rooster play. There are very few players with her consistent pace. This speed and skill has been inherited from her father (Ben) who played NRL for the Dragons and Eels. Giselle was a key player for the recent 18 girls in Port Macquarie and scored some impressive individual tries on day one before the rain caused the tournament to be abandoned. There is an old saying that you can’t beat speed in touch football and this is apparent when you watch Giselle play. Hawks Senior Women’s Coach Luke Eisenhuth has been a close mentor and coach of Giselle said, “I have enjoyed watching Giselle develop throughout her formative years and see her still on the path to reaching her potential. Her knowledge and application will see her make the transition from juniors to seniors easily if she continues to learn more about the game and train hard”. Giselle is one of those players every Club needs and every coach wants. Congratulations to Giselle on being our Hawks Female Player of the Month. Comments are closed.
