Our Senior Player of the Month is Luke Eisenhuth.
Known as the General, Luke has been a huge inclusion at the Hawks since he joined in 2016. A school teacher by trade, Luke is real team player who provides a calm head in all situations and demands respect from his team mates with his work ethic and core values of hard work. The Eisenhuth name is very popular in the NRL at present with some of Luke's brothers and cousins making their mark, however the Hawks consider themselves very lucky to have someone like the General. He is a player that has proven himself at every level and a player that brings out the best in his team mates with a never say die attitude and willingness to train harder than the next person. When Barry Gibson was looking for an experienced player to lead his young charges into Premier League, the General was the first call he made. ‘We needed someone to lead by example, drive into the tough teams and to provide experience and be that calm head in the middle. He also brings an understanding of our patterns and structures to the entire squad. It is fair to say Luke has done this and will continue to do so’ Barry added. Luke is a winner and this was another attractive part of his recruitment. Winning has followed him throughout his career winning the following titles: - 2007 U18 Junior State Cup - 2007 U20 Senior State Cup - 2009 Men's Open Vawdon Cup In addition Luke has accumulated numerous club titles. Most recently these have occurred with Pitching Point Constructions in the local competition. Luke has also provided support for our next generation of players by coaching our u/16s & 18 girls squads and is currently assisting with our 1st division men’s squad. He has combined all of this with his desire for winning a Premier League Title and First Division Title with the Hawks over the next three seasons. Congratulations to 'The General' on being the Hawks Senior Player of the month for September, 2020. Comments are closed.
