CORRESPONDENCE

REGISTRATIONS

• The most important takeaway from tonight. Register NOW.
• We are using the TFA program MySideline; go to their website touchfootball.com.au
• For returning players it is very quick and easy
• For new players it takes a little longer, but is still easy to do
• Any issues, go to the help icon or?

As the Managers:

• You have the direct link to the MySideline Manager which you received via email when you registered your team
• You then have access to see who has registered in your team

COVID COMPLIANCE

• 16 and over: You MUST be double-vacced unless you have an exemption

NO VAX – NO PLAY

• The Board are obliged to view all players certificates or exemptions
• Every player must send an email of their certificate to [email protected]
• In the Subject put your team and your name, and attach your pdf

• Spectators must check-in using our QR Code – they will be at a number of entrances to the park, including Bremner including the sign-on folder at your field
• Players do not need to check-in as the sign-on sheets are used for that

SIGN-ON SHEETS

• Do not come to the central desk
• A Folder will be at your field
• The Manager will tick off the names of the players playing that night on the sign-on sheet
• Printed at noon on Mondays
  • If you register after that time the player or Team Manager will need to show the email or team list

 
SIGN-ON SHEET COMPLIANCE

• Ground Supervisors will be enforcing compliance:
  • Will be checking all sign-on sheets
  • No proof of vax – you will be asked to stop playing

 
NO PROOF OF CERTICATION – NO PLAY
 

• Let me go through some other scenarios:

 

1. 10 people ticked on the sign-on sheet – 6 players on the field and 4 on the sideline
   • No action required

 

1. 10 people ticked on the sign-on sheet – 6 players on the field and 2 on the sideline
   • Ground supervisor will ask the manager/player, who is here and who is not
   • Identified and corrected - play will continue
   • If not, the game will be stopped until this occurs

 

1. 5 players ticked on the sign-on sheet – 6 players on the field and 1 on the sideline
   • Ground supervisor will ask the manager/player, who has not been ticked on the sign-on sheet
   • Identified and corrected - play will continue
   • If not, the game will be stopped until this occurs, and that will include the need to register a person there and then before they continue to play

RING-INS

• If you play a ring-in you will receive zero points and deemed to have lost 7 – 0
• If you are short of players, rather that forfeit, and inform the ref that this is the case, you will receive 1 point and deemed to have lost 5 – 0
• If you cannot field a side one night, and inform Paul Wines by 3:30pm, a forfeit will be recorded – if you do not inform Paul by then you will be deducted 3 points
• If you need players, let Paul know as he has a number of people in the pool

 
DUTY REFEREES

• If you have a bye, take it as given that you must provide 2 refs, reporting to the main desk by 5:50pm. Failure to do so will result in zero points
• You will be allocated games at 6:00 and/or 6:35
• I will inform managers by Sunday night if they are NOT required

REFEREES

• Why do we need duty referees - We have lost a number of both experienced referees as well as a number of our junior referees from last year.
• There are a number of reasons but most disturbingly is that some are not returning due to ongoing referee abuse
• I need your help – quite simply if one of your team mates starts abusing a referee, I need you to intervene; tell them to ‘pull their head in’, take them off the field, and settle them down before it escalates
• 1 warning, another occurrence sin bin, if it continues you will be sent off and receive an automatic minimum of two weeks suspension
• We have a number of promising junior referees that I will be promoting to senior level – most of who are daughters and sons of players down here. I would like to know what your reaction would be as a parent if you witnessed some of this abuse to your kids – let’s stamp this out
• If you wish to lodge a complaint about a referee the process is easy. Don’t yell and scream at the ref - come and see me (or Bill Calleja or Pat Branley)

PAYMENTS

• Early bird fee for Mens and Mixed is $850 – due by 8th November Week 2
• If not received, you WILL NOT be playing in week 3, unless the full amount of ($1000) is received
• For the Womens comp, it is $500 early bird, and $650 full freight

SHIRTS

• Similar coloured shirts with numbers by week 4
• If you don’t have them after that, you will be required to wear the clubs’ bibs at a cost of $50 for the game

ELIGIBILITY FOR FINALS – you must have played at least 5 games
FIELDS

• We have lost fields 5 and 6 before Christmas, and will lose 8 and 9 after Christmas
• We will be using Bremner – they will be fields 11 and 12
• Look up the draw and if you are playing there go directly to those fields
• All sign-on and check-in facilities will be there

NO OF TEAMS

• We have a full book of teams, and with reduced fields, you must be prepared to play at all game times 6:00, 6:35 and 7:10
• We understand that some people playing in the men’s and women’s competition also play in the mixed, so we will try to minimise any clashes
• Email Paul if this affects your teams/players

DRAW

• The draw will be posted this Sunday morning
• The Grades you are in this year is reflective of last seasons placings; but if you are a new team or have had significant changes in personnel, please see Mark Lindsay with regards to gradings (Treasurer)
• Re-grading will occur during the season for teams or competitions that are lop-sided – probably after 4 or 5 weeks

WRAP-UP

• Register your players - NOW
• Send in your COVID certificates - NOW
• Pay your team fees - NOW
