The Hawks Senior Player of the month for November is Grace Thomas.
When you look up the word loyalty, you will find the name Grace Thomas. Grace has been a member of the Hawks for ten consecutive Junior State Cups and started way back in Wollongong as an 8 year old when the team were runners up to Manly. Despite her slight build her strength in the middle should not be underestimated. She continues to improve and dominate in this position against much bigger opposition and is a naturally gifted player. Whilst her Junior State Cup journey has come to a close, her senior chapter is just about to commence. Grace is currently playing Vawdon Cup and will line up for the Hawks in the u/20s at Port Macquarie in December. When we spoke to Grace about some of her career highlights, she couldn’t go past all the fabulous friendships made within her teams that have been together (majority of girls) for a very long time and the passion they all have to play for the Hawks. Combined with being an outstanding touch player, Grace has excelled at the highest levels of soccer, cricket, rugby 7’s and AFL for both Club and school. The next stage of Graces professional life will see her studying Primary School teaching after finishing her HSC which is something else that she will flourish at! Her family have been constant supporters of Grace throughout her journey with Mary (mother), Peter (father) and both siblings always lending their support. Congratulations to Grace on being the Hawks Senior player of the month for November 2020. A more loyal player would be hard to find. Comments are closed.
