Hawks Junior Player of the Month for February is Tyson Lawrence.
Success follows Tyson and he is a player who is built on the old fashion values of respect and loyalty. In his fourth season playing for the Hawks, Tyson has built a reputation as a strong middle player with silky ball skills and has the ability to lead others with his competitive nature. His quiet but caring personality with his team mates and coaches has created a positive atmosphere in all of the teams he has been a member of including the u/10s squad of 2019 that won their way through to the State Finals. He has also starred in the local Monday night competition winning two premierships and is considered a player to build teams around in his future seasons with the Hawks. Outside of touch football, Tyson also played a leading role in the Holy Cross Rhinos recent premiership win. Coach and mentor Pat Batiste said “He is a pleasure to coach and willing to learn as much as he can. Whilst he is still developing as a player, he always gives 120% and turns up to every training session with a smile on his face ready to train hard and learn. He is such a positive influence to be around and is a great asset to any team and the overall Hawks Club”. Congratulations to Tyson on being the Hawks Junior Player of the month for February 2021.
