Zac’s rep touch footy career started in 2012 when he played in the u10’s for the Hawks and recently represented our Club in (his first year playing) the u/18s boys division. This is his 9th year playing for the club.
Zac is a committed member of the Ryde Eastwood Touch community who not only plays at an elite level but referee’s in the Monday night competition and plays in both opens and mixed teams including one of which won their recent grand final. Zac also participates in the Hawks Winter competition in both opens and mixed to continue honing his skills. He has played Vawdon Cup for the past two years and has been selected in the Sydney Scorpions representative program for the past two years. Zac is a team player who always gives 100 percent to his team and the Club. He is a quiet achiever on and off the field with speed to burn. He has also earned the respect of his fellow players, club members and coaches through his willingness to always give his best at training and during a game. As Zac prepares for his last JSC in 2021, our Hawks senior coaching staff have already identified him as a player who will make the transition into Premier League over the next three seasons. Over the past nine years he has been presented with a host of players player awards, Hawks Medal Awards. Last year he was nominated for the prestigious Jack Liston Award which was an unbelievable honour for someone at such a young age. He is also consistently encouraging his two sisters Maddie and Issy to continue their development as touch players (see picture attached). Hawks Head Coach and Coaching Director Barry Gibson said that “Zac has the world at his feet and will progress up the ranks rapidly if he continues to apply himself to training and to the Club”.
